I was away so I didn’t get a post out on the final, but these were the competing tweets:
Those were my two choice from the semi-final, so that pleases me!
As I was away I didn’t vote in the final, and I’m not sure which tweet I would have voted for. It’s a tough choice! I think I might have gone with the “gross incompetence” tweet. As I’ve said several times, the irony is just too delicious!
Anyway, drum roll please, the winner is in and it was the “gross incompetence” tweet that won the final! Here’s the announcement from The Daily Show:

“Are you allowed to impeach a president for gross incompetence?”
When I first saw this I thought it was fake news rather than a real tweet. I think that’s the question thinking people have been asking since the election. After total loss of faith in society, sometimes the glimmer of intelligence and decency of humanity gives me new hope.
352 of the ickiest potus tweets evah:
Am I within the rules of this blog to wish that this most awful and tiresome of trolls f*ck off elsewhere?
You’re allowed to wish it. You’re not allowed to tell me to ban him (which you didn’t), and I’d rather you expressed your disagreement with his pov more politely.
I suspect he rather likes it each time he gets a rise out of one of us.
Well I didn’t scroll through all 352, but thanks for the reminder reading these tweets provided that the last legitimate president of the USA was a gracious, good-hearted, mature, and compassionate man who deeply cared for his country and its people. The contrast with the tweets of the incumbent could hardly be greater.
If j.a.m. wants to post these reminders at regular intervals I won’t mind at all. They’re certainly more welcome than his own opinions which I frankly find both abhorrent and juvenile.
Like someone wrote a while back. “Ewwww a President that is civil and literate. ewwww.” Or something to that effect. j.a.m. doesn’t get a rise out of me as I’m used to his propaganda-infused world-view; just another run-of-the-mill troll.
And thanks Heather for highlighting this entertaining contest.
Cheers Mark. 🙂
