Outrageous!

Thanks Dennis. I was going to end this piece with the words, “so much for peace and enlightenment”.

Egged on by some monks, the Muslims there suffer a lot of appalling treatment, including mob violence, which deserves another article on its own.

On our six o’clock news last night (a couple of hours after I posted this), there was an interview with a local monk, sitting cross-legged in his saffron robes in his temple looking all wise. He thought the verdict was a great result as it was an example to others not to do the same thing. As you said, who’da thunk?

It makes you wonder doesn’t it, just what some people would do if they had access to the amazing technology our scientists have developed.

Excellent piece as always. It’s easy to forget the oppression so many people live under.

How can so many be so aware of such casual destruction of lives and still be able to live with themselves?
