While they are rivals now, it wouldn’t be surprising to see President Rubio appoint Sen. Cruz to succeed Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the Supreme Court.

The GOP isn’t going to nominate Trump or Carson. Any of the remaining candidates, however, would be a breath of brisk mountain air after Obama. Meanwhile, the Democrats have painted themselves into a corner with an inept and corrupt default nominee. Good luck with that.

Yeah. I think they need a Republican hero, and Reagan is just long enough ago that they’ve forgotten all the bad stuff; even Republicans would be screaming “Iran Contra” from the rooftops if he ran now. And Ollie North, despite what he did, just by association with Reagan in once again a popular Fox contributor.

I was talking to my ex-Republican brother again earlier this week (it was his birthday) and he told me that a lot of his mates he went to Yale with are also switching to the Dems, and are quite vehement in their condemnation of the Republicans, because of the “current crowd of clowns.”

I agree Al – they’re all awful. It would be an embarrassment to the country if any of those three got in – I sign of the fall of the American Empire. I only mention a preference for Trump over Cruz because they’re leading the polls at the moment, and Trump has a pretty good chance of being the nominee because of the way the selection process works. However, like Obama, I don’t think USians would actually elect him. It hasn’t got that bad yet. I hope.

But just for a minute Cruz with the nuclear codes. He’s likely to use them because he had a revelation it would bring about the Second Coming (as is Carson for that matter).

Glad you’re back Heather!

I can’t even bear listening to the man. Just about everything that comes out of the fools mouth is either a lie or a distortion. It saddens me how the Republicans get away with lie after lie in their interviews/townhalls/debates. No one ever stands up to their lies and it’s a disgrace. You are spot-on with the “Antichrist” moniker…fits him precisely.

I also find it ironic that no contemporary Republican candidate would tolerate Ronald Reagan today. He’s way too liberal for the current crowd of clowns.

You know, being from England and finding myself rather bemused by the regressive, ill-hidden religious, anti-humanist rhetoric of these people in general, I am not too sure which of Cruz, Trump and Carson that I find more unpleasant and dangerous, for not only the decent, freethinking people in the US, or the prospect of any kind of world peace.

Carson because he is clearly a deluded, cartoon idiot.

Cruz because he is a nasty, anti-female religious loon.

Or Trump because he is.. well… Donald Trump.
