Thanks Lee. I don’t know how many times I’ve said this now: “Just when I think Trump can’t get any worse he does.” The man continues to shock with his craven attitudes to everything. I suspect that what we know now only scratches the surface too and there will be things that come out in the Mueller probe that are worse than anything we’ve seen so far.

Also, the book by Max Boot ‘Why I Left the Right‘ says this – that Republicans have to stop voting for all Republicans until they stop with the current brand of politics. Even the ones that are good themselves are still voting with Trump and not standing up to him. Power for the sake of power cannot be allowed to succeed, and saying anything you want to win cannot be the norm.

My brother did his MBA at Yale and worked at Goldman Sachs up until 9/11. He was a Republican, and retained an allegiance to the party even after he cam back here. He was horrified that they would have someone like Sarah Palin as VP, and admired Obama, but what made him leave the party was nominating Trump.

Gillum is excellent. I really hope he wins. He would clearly be the better governor, but that often doesn’t count in areas that are strong for a particular party of course. The lies that are being told about his time as mayor are sickening. I’m all for attacking someone’s record as obviously a politician should be held accountable, but what’s being said about Gillum is so often a lie.

I would add Don Lemon to that list. I’m a bit of a fan of Don Lemon and watch his show on CNN most days if I am able to. A couple of weeks ago he mentioned that he’s the only African American with his own news show in prime time on a nationwide network in the US. That surprised me.

You can imagine the horrific scenes that could ensue. Then imagine the number of people who will have no sympathy for killed or injured asylum seekers because they shouldn’t be there anyway. And when you point out that seeking asylum is a perfectly legal process protected by international law, they will insist that they KNOW that their asylum applications wouldn’t be genuine.

Yes, that was good. Thanks Diana. One of the things she said which I think more people need to recognize is that anti-Semitism is not just racism or anti-Judaism, it’s a conspiracy theory. It began with the Jesus myth of Jews killing Jesus. (I still remember my father telling me it was the Jews who killed Jesus.) Mohammed told Muslims that the Jews were bad because they owned Muslim land. Then we have the various theories about Jews secretly ruling the world.

The Dems just need to keep on message with the issues, and let the craven GOP do what they do best: lie, cheat, hate, and promote the glory of whiteness. Were living in two Americas right now, with a POTUS that is trying harder and harder to create two countries. When Obama was cursed and heckled at a rally in Miami, the crowd rightly went crazy, without using violence, and Obama calmed them down. When the place was quiet enough for him to speak again he said: Why are the ones who won last election “so mad all the time”?

A classic example of Obama’s humanity, humor and greatness- compared to the odious-one who lacks any of those traits. Winning the House will be a good start in putting a check on this runaway train that is modern America.

And even if Trump’s cult can’t see that he’s a racist, it is easy to use Andrew Gilum’s tactic when debating his racist counterpart Ron DeSantis. He said: “Now, I’m not calling Mr. DeSantis a racist, I’m simply saying the racists believe he’s a racist.”

That is such a great response, and cuts through all the “racist-naming” BS that Democrats are accused of. We don’t have to call out the racists, just call out the fact that the racists think they’re racists; this plays out much better for those easily triggered white (I’m not racist even though I love Trump) voters.
