But human beings need heroes, religious people find their heroes in Prophets, and secular people find their heroes in people like Dawkins. Can anyone actually point me to the last scientific publication he made?

I think Dawkins is a narcissist, who has made a career out of pretending he is some really caring guy who is driven by science and rationality, hates war, and is a staunch supporter of feminism – yeah, right!
