As I was watching, I thought about the similarity between the area and New Zealand too – there were places that looked almost exactly the same as the last video I posted about New Zealand: Home of Middle Earth.

I spent a very short time on the way to and from the Falklands in Punta Arenas and the Torres del Paine national park. I wish we’d had more time there! An interesting observation was the similarity of some of the vegetation with that of Australia (especially Tassie) and NZ. Living evidence of continental drift.
